Julius Bockelt is a visual artist, performer and musician. In his works, he deals with phenomena of nature and physics. He draws, observes, archives, experiments and photographs a wide variety of phenomena, such as vibrations, cloud formations and soap bubbles. The origin of his artistic practice lies in music – especially the superimposition of sounds and the resulting vibrations and interference. Born in Frankfurt am Main in 1986, he lives and works in his native city. Since 2017, Julius Bockelt has also been working as lecturer for the Goldstein Academy. In 2022, he received the Culture Prize of the Alois Ammerschläger Foundation.
