Atelier Goldstein of Lebenshilfe Frankfurt am Main e.V. is a studio for exceptionally talented artists with disabilities. It was founded by Christiane Cuticchio in 2001 and is based on the recognition that self-taught artists are capable of creating significant works of contemporary art.
A form of artistic assistance specially developed at Atelier Goldstein provides the artists with the opportunity to assert their own visual language, to develop it and to professionalize it.
Through extensive agency work, Atelier Goldstein succeeds in placing works by the artists in national and international museums and collections.
Atelier Goldstein runs its own exhibition space, the Goldstein Galerie where exhibitions, artist residencies, lectures, workshops and concerts take place.
Since 2016, artists from Atelier Goldstein have been working together with an assistant as teachers of Goldstein Akademie. They teach at regular schools, lead courses for teachers and educators and conceptualise seminars for art schools.
