Untertitel
GOLDSTEIN AKADEMIE
At the Goldstein Academy, artists with an attributed disability lead art projects in a variety of formats. The artists’ own work forms the starting point for collaborative work in all formats. Building on this, the artists develop individual artistic concepts and project ideas tailored to different age groups and target audiences. The artists lead the programs together with an artistic assistant, who supports them in creating an age-appropriate and productive exchange between their own world of thought and that of the children and young people.

In workshops and in classes, it becomes clear what can happen when young people encounter artists for whom creative exploration and artistic work are a lifelong commitment. Through their seriousness, clarity, and concentration, the artists quickly become role models for the students.
In teacher training sessions led by artists, it becomes evident how limited our own assumptions often are about whom we can learn from. These trainings prepare teachers in creative ways for working with inclusive classes.
The Bockelt Box offers an unusual teaching format that invites students to become active themselves. The box contains videos and materials that schools can use independently: in the videos, Goldstein artist Julius Bockelt guides students to follow his artistic impulses using the provided materials. Delivered directly to the school, it contains everything needed for five double lessons of art for 27 students.
