ARTIST BOOKLET ON JULIUS BOCKELT

Atelier Goldstein Heft #10

Parallel to the opening of the exhibition “Blaues Rauchen” (Blue Noise), featuring works by Julius Bockelt, a new publication on the artist is being released as part of the Atelier Goldstein booklet series.

The publication offers insight into his artistic cosmos and illustrates the overarching connections and unifying ideas linking Julius Bockelt’s freehand drawings, his experiments with sound and soap bubbles, and his cloud photography.

The booklet opens with a personal letter by Philippe Van Cauteren, Artistic Director of S.M.A.K. in Ghent. In it, he writes: “In a world where the truth of words and images becomes uncertain through social and other media, the minimal presence and open radicality of Julius Bockelt’s works act as a powerful antidote.”

The booklet is available at the Goldstein Galerie or can be ordered via: kontakt@atelier-goldstein.de – Price: €10 plus shipping.
We would like to thank the Hessische Kulturstiftung for supporting this publication.
