Today, hot off the press, we receive the artist catalog for Krause-Harder’s textile world map: “The thin skin on which we walk – A world atlas” with detailed photographs and in-depth texts. The elaborately produced images illustrate the entirety and the numerous lovingly crafted details of the over 200 square meter work. Text contributions by Julia Krause-Harder, Judith Schalansky, Martin Saar, Christoph Otterbeck, Sophia Edschmid and Sven Fritz go beyond the work of art and address questions about the complexity of the world and its representation.
The book is published by Atelier Goldstein and the Marburg Art Museum and is published by Wienand Verlag. The world atlas is available until the end of the exhibition at the preferential price of \u20ac24 at Atelier Goldstein or the art museum.
The book was supported by the Hessian Cultural Foundation, the university town of Marburg and the Friends of the Museum for Art and Cultural History Marburg e. V..
