Lothar Zaubitzer
Specializes in portraits and still life compositions
using charcoal, pen and pencil onto paper and canvas.
With a gentle, delicate line, he produces images that convey characters
with a tender and rugged aura, portraying a persona that is both quiet
and bold, relating a highly concentrated and obtuse perception of
the object or person.
He has studied his own self and produced a series of portraits that
reveals an elusive face that appears from a different epoch –
a pale, delicate, slightly unkempt and wild character that looks out
from the page with passionate and piercing eyes, challenging you to
look but granting no access.
