Is a fine artist, a painter, she is a master in working on over dimensional formats developing compositions with circle like forms, weaving colour and texture that remind the viewer of an ornamental tapestry. She works with extreme confidence without conventions, she can be both very delicate and subtle working with washed out aquarelle colours, very minimalistic in style but also totally flamboyant, layering colour and texture with gusto. Christa Sauer´s largest piece is a 10 metre high painting which was commissioned by the forum Lebenshilfe for their foyer.
