Hans-Joerg Georgi
Is an obsessive artist specializing in building model aircrafts out of discarded paper card, through his art he has develops a parallel world, in which he escapes and completely emerges himself in the process of making fleets of aircrafts, that appear to have survived crash landings, and electrical storms. The aircrafts are slightly dented, beaten up, fragments missing, looking like they have seen better days.
In addition to this talent he makes drawings on any paper he finds also in sketch books and has recently worked on large scale canvas.
The sketches he makes are fragments of stories, narratives of young boys from the past, steam engines, and aircrafts, his style reminds one of illustrations from the fifties.
Eloquently developing a storyboard of events that masterfully capture the essence of a
narrative but at the same time leaving fragments of the composition out, to give an unfinished piece the perfect balance of enticing the viewer to want to know more.
