Holger Frischkorn
Specializes in painting/drawing using acrylic paint/
marker pens onto canvas, paper and wood. His themes are the portraits
of people of diverse cultures and social status which dominate his
suggestive work.
He works on large scale portraits of people using images from contemporary
photography books and newspapers.
The starting point is the image, the interpretation is pure Frischkorn, blatantly exaggerating features or producing a silhouette of the
image leaving details out, or accentuating a particular feature.
The paintings that are produced are extremely strong individual
statements of the world according to Frischkorns viewpoint, he creates
his own characters from the details he chooses from any given image,
producing a world of enigmatic personalities.
